My good friend Natalie Allgood has been the one helping me put together this Giant fund raiser and giving me ideas left and right. She mentioned one thing that was done for the last fund raiser she put together, where they contacted a financial institution that matched the funds that were raised up to $2500… “Seriously? that’s awesome!” I thought… and I got to work.
I called Modern Woodman Fraternal Financial’s nearest rep, who is in West Haven and spoke with Jon Ostler. I mentioned that I had heard that his company does matching funds for fund raisers and wondered if He’s be willing to help me out, then I told him our story. He was very moved and told me he’d have to get back to me.
It took a few days, and I was getting anxious, so I called him again asking him to tell me the good news. 🙂 He chuckled then told me he did have good news and how his company works. He has 5 people together with him that each get $2500 to be donated to the community for worthy causes as matching funds. The reason he hadn’t called me back sooner was because he wasn’t sure if they had any funds left. He said, “All of the accounts have been used up with the matching funds program, but I did find 1 ACCOUNT that still had funds available!”
Wow, Robinson and I again felt a firm security and confirmation that “We’re doing the right thing, just keep going, a way will be provided” The Lord is so amazing. I’m SO grateful for the power of prayer and the miracles that we are seeing daily. 🙂 By the end of this fund raiser on Oct 11th when we pull in $2500, we’ll have a total of $5000 to be put in Sofi’s account, and will be able to pay our agency. 🙂 Finally. It’s been a lot of hard work, and there’s still a long road ahead, but I’m excited to see all of the miracles that are coming our way. They’re so close I can smell em. 🙂 This journey of miracles is humbling, exciting, and full of hard work but Sofia is SO so very much worth it. I will work my butt off, and I will bring her home sooner than expected. 🙂 because that’s just how I roll.
